Jewelry Care

Jewelry storage is important as well. At the time of purchase, all Akeyno jewelry is wrapped in a protective box, case or tarnish-resistant pouch. Between wearings, we recommend that you place it back in its original case or another suitably lined box or pouch.
Sterling silver tarnishes naturally, especially when exposed to salt air and products containing sulfur, such as rubber bands and some papers. However, silver that is regularly used typically needs less care, so we strongly encourage you to use or wear your silver every day.
Use our provided polishing cloth or another quality brand. Some "dip" polishes contain harsh chemicals and should be avoided. Electrolytic cleaning (aluminum foil, salt and baking soda in a water base) is not recommended.
Begin by using a soft cloth or sponge to apply the polish. Rub each piece gently but firmly lengthwise, using straight, even strokes. You may use a small brush (like a toothbrush with natural bristles) for decorative trim or borders. Wash in sudsy water, being sure to remove all the polish. Rinse well in warm water, dry thoroughly and buff gently with a soft cloth.
Fashion Jewelry
Akeyno’s fashion jewelry collection consists of gold-filled jewelry or a base of brass plated in either 14K/18K Yellow Gold or 14K/18K Rose Gold. All fashion jewelry ordered comes with a care card, which informs you of how to maintain your piece. Akeyno is not liable for any damage to the finish of a piece if care instructions are not followed.
Jewelry Maintenance
On a case-by-case basis, Akeyno will polish (clean) or repair a fine jewelry product that was ordered directly from If your purchase is from over 1 year ago, repairs may still be made but there will be a fee depending on the work needed and condition of the item.
Akeyno does not repair brass items, due to their plated finish, we are unable to polish or repair any styles from this collection. If your brass piece has broken within 1 month of purchase- Akeyno will either exchange your piece for a new one of the same style and color, or provide you with a store credit.
If your chain requires multiple repairs within the first year of purchase it is up to the customer service representative’s discretion to determine if a fee is required. After 1 year the chain may still be repaired at a fee determined by the customer service representative.
